So James, how did you get started tutoring?
I’ve taught private lessons for years, but had never considered doing them online until I heard about Voxy’s tutoring services. Curious to test my skills in a new medium, I applied for a position, and the rest is history!
What do you like most about it?
I really enjoy the dynamic relationship formed with each individual student, and watching them develop their skills. It’s also exciting to speak with people from other countries, and learn about their cultures.
What are the benefits of an online tutor vs. in-person?
An online tutoring session enables the student and I to exchange additional educational materials via Voxy links and e-mails, which nicely supplement the lessons. We live in a highly digital world, and there is a sense of practicality and convenience that comes from conducting lessons online.
How has your experience been working with Voxy?
It’s been a great learning experience. I’ve been able to refine my teaching skills in a new setting, and also become a more adaptable teacher. Tutoring online is an exciting new educational frontier, and I’m happy to be a part of it!
